Musical fascination
The music acts as a catalyst to make us feel more intensively a given moment. Shall it be in a movie like the Crow (Graeme Revell), Blade Runner (Vangelis) or Romeo + Juliet, we all take with us the pain, joy felt during them thanks to the music which, each it is listened to, brings back sweet or sad but nonetheless fascinating memories.
I wanted to keep a place for music on this site because i can't live without music and i want to share with you what i've found interesting, epic, strong, deep, sacred or whatever else could qualify the music i like.
I also have in mind another purpose. I'd like YOU to tell me what you like and make me discover new musical jewels. But i put a restriction on it, it must sound like the bits and pieces of music you'll find here, which have in common, it seems, to be made of choirs or music without any lyrics. As you'll probably understand, i'm talking about Music score rather than original soundtracks.
Why? It derives from a simple fact. Ironically, an original soundtrack (songs with lyrics) is often poorly used in the movie it has been made for (the most famous track usually made by a famous band is played during the end credit or during a few seconds only in the movie, etc...). Whereas the music score, because it doesn't contain any lyrics, is often played longer in the background . Which means that it will stay hooked in your head, and really remind you of the movie when you listen to it again later.
I have two good examples which explain my view in a much better way : I didn't feel anything paticularly strong when listening to the original soundtrack of The Crow (white cover) and the original soundtrack of Romeo + Juliet (volume 1). But i almost cried when listening to the music SCORE of the Crow (black cover) and the volume 2 of Romeo + Juliet which is a music score as well.
